Google has released the first developer preview of Android 11, and it is now available to download and test for the developers. Google usually releases developer builds of new Android versions in March, but Android 11's first developer preview has been released earlier than the regular release cycle. Talking about new features, it has enhancements for foldable phones and screen types, new camera capabilities, privacy-centric tools, convenient app behavior, 5G-related improvements, and a lot more. Aside from releasing the first Android 11 Developer Preview, Google has also revealed the rollout timeline for upcoming builds to its stable release. Google said that system images, as well as GSI files for the first Android 11 Developer Preview, are now available to download for the Pixel 4, Pixel 3aPixel 3, and the Pixel 2.

Reverse wireless charging is a feature we've seen on a few smartphones, including recent Samsung flagships that let you use your phone to wirelessly charge other devices like a phone, smartwatch, or pair of wireless headphones. Now the Android 11 Developer Preview has suggested that the Google Pixel 5 will support wireless charging. A new feature called "Battery Share" has been discovered in the Android 11 Developer Preview. "Charge other devices by placing them on the back of your Pixel," the code reads. "Your phone's battery will run out faster when using battery share. Battery share works with compatible earbuds, watches, phones, and more." The code for Battery Share also mentions the name Redfin, which is the codename of an upcoming Pixel device. That suggests the particular future Pixel phone (Google Pixel 5) will include reverse wireless charging.
