Samsung Galaxy S7 Preview

Although the design of Galaxy S7 resembles to Galaxy S6 but Samsung upgraded its latest flagship with a number of  features.  The device comes with stronger camera, improved battery, and always on display. Earlier renders suggested that Galaxy S7 will come with adoptable Storage for MicroSD and USB Type-C but we didn’t see these things with the device.

Features & Display

Always On display is the main feature of the device; the feature will let you see time, date and other notifications on turned off screen. The feature makes the device more interesting as compare to its predecessor Galaxy S6. Another IP68 waterproof feature is back so you can use your device in the rain or under the water as well.

However, Galaxy S7 resembles to Galaxy S6, a 5.1 inch AMOLED display with quad HD resolution.  On high resolution screen watching videos and web browsing is a remarkable experience. Screen’s color contrast and reproduction are impressive so everything looks clear and stark. You can easily manage your battery by managing screen of the mobile.

Specifications

It runs Android OS, v6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box. The Galaxy S7 is powered by Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820/ Exynos 8890 Octa. Single and Dual SIM mobile has 32GB and 64GB internal storage and 4GB RAM. The mobile sports fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate, and SpO2 sensors. The mobile is available in Gold, Silver, Black and White color options.

Camera

The smartphone has a 12 MP primary camera with  f/1.7, 26mm, phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, Auto HDR, panorama features. Front camera is 5 MP with Auto HDR feature and it enables users to make a dual video call. The camera quality is improved so you can capture flawless picture from your device. Low light performance is also improved and all captured photos look nice and sharp.  Galaxy S7 captures very deep and sharp pictures quickly with impressive results.

Battery

Samsung has upgraded battery from 2550 mAh to 3000mAh that is definitely due to advanced features. The awaken screen of the phone will consume more power that’s why the company adjusted it with larger battery. The battery supports fast charging as well such as Quick Charge 2.0.

Simply Galaxy S7 comes with advanced features, but Samsung should have changed the design or it should have introduced the device last year. Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 both devices look similar so very few people would feel like upgrading their Galaxy S6. If you check your device 100 times a day to see notifications and your mobile battery drains faster than Always on display would help you out in saving battery of your device.
