Finally, Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ - two new killers of iPad Pro. Both are 5G tablets and allow 4G LTE and Sub-6 WLAN connectivity. Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus have come up with a digital Stylus Pen of 9ms latency, and hence it shares the same features as of Galaxy Note 20 Ultra S-Pen. Stylus supports Bluetooth, is having accelerometer and gyro sensors, and the ability to select text area on the screen. Let’s talk in detail what Samsung Tab S7 and S7+ brought to users.
The main differences between the two tablets are size, display, and battery capacity. Tab S7 has an 11-inch LTPS IPS LCD Display and 8,000 mAh Li-Po Battery. On the other hand, Galaxy Tab S7+ sports 12.4-inch Super AMOLED screen and 10,090 mAh power cell.

Samsung Tab S7 and S7 Plus arrive in Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic Silver. Every color has its beauty, but I liked my Mystic Bronze reviewing unit. Both Tab S7 and S7+ made of aluminum and have Corning Gorilla Glass 7 on front. A 3.5 mm jack is no more for either standard or plus model. Although they are not IP6X rated, Tab S7 and S7+ are enough sturdy to bear some drops of rainy water. The Plus version is weightier at 575 grams while the non-Plus weighs in 498 grams.
Tab S7 measures 253.8x165.3x6.3 mm dimensions while S7+ has 285x185x5.7 mm dimensions of height, width, and thickness. Two tablets look almost identical, yet the location of Fingerprint Sensor differ them. A physical FR is available at the side of standard Tab S7, whereas the Plus version houses an In-Screen Optical Fingerprint, which is easier to reach.
Fortunately, a 120Hz Display debuts in Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+. Hence, you can take your gaming experience to the next level. Both tablets have a 16:10 aspect ratio, achieving more than 80% screen-to-body ratio, and support HDR10+ dynamic views. S7 is 11inches is size, having IPS touchscreen and 1600x2560 pixels resolution. S7+ is larger at 12.4inches and brighter at 1752x2800 pixels resolution. The color saturation and contrast are okay, and the graphics are the best, thanks to Adreno 650 GPU.
Once again Samsung played tricky with the term software. Users are not getting OneUI 2.1 but the downgraded OneUI 2.0, which you will upgrade later to the 2.1 version. The brand promised at least three next-gen software updates, and the first chance will be withdrawn by OneUI 2.1 (that has already come in Note 20 and Ultra). Android 10 is running there and it will also get the successor Android 11. What’s new? There are new Dark Themes, parental control, and edge-to-edge gestures, privacy tools, incognito mode for Google Maps, Smart Reply, optimized location, and Focus mode.
The camera sensors and capabilities are the same. Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus carry dual photography snappers, 13MP f/2.0 wide, and 5MP f/2.2 ultrawide. The later one has 80-degrees Field of View to stretch and fill more details at corners. You can make 4K films and enjoy HDR and panorama. On the front, Tab S7 and S7+ carry an 8MP selfie lens with f/2.0 aperture for better low light shots. It enables 1080p video calls at 30fps.
Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ are being powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor. It is a 7nm+ chip that saves extra battery consumption drained by background applications. There is an Eight-core CPU running at a 3.09 GHz frequency. The combo delivers the blazing fast performance you can expect from a Samsung flagship tablet. Multi-tasking is easier now, and the PUBG gameplay tackled by 6GB RAM of S7 and S7+. Storage is 128GB for standard. By spending a little more, buyers can choose an 8GB RAM variant with 256GB Storage. It is UFS 3.0 memory, not 3.1 – yet it is enough fast for sequential read and writes data. MicroSDXC slot allows the memory expansion up to 1TB.
With a single full charge, Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ can last through an entire day. Yet some power cells left in Plus model, thanks to a 10,090 mAh Li-Po battery. However, the Tab S7 borrows the power from an 8,000 mAh battery. Both are compatible with a 45-watts Fast Charge that could do its job without taking longer than 2 hours.
