The Vivo Y21 measures 164.3 x 76.1 x 8 mm of height, width, and thickness respectively. The total body weight is 182 grams. The company built this Smartphone with a Plastic frame body, and the front panel is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. On the front panel, it offers water-drop notch for the selfie camera. The back has a Square Camera Matrix.

It has a fingerprint sensor on the side, and it also offers 3.5mm audio jack. The Vivo Y21 has all physical keys on the right side like the Power button and volume rockers. The left side of the phone has only a dual SIM tray while the bottom offers USB-C port and speaker grille.

The Vivo Y21 runs Funtouch 11.1, Vivo’s layer on the top of Android 11. The handset has ultra-game mode, and you can also release memory for the better gaming experience. Swiping down from the top, it has many different toggles – Wi-Fi, Cellular data, Silent mode, Bluetooth, Flashlight, Eye protection, ultra-game mode, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Volume controller, Brightness controller, and Do Not Disturb mode. The phone offers iManager for optimized the device and also has a cleanup option. Love to see Schedule Dark Mode. The Vivo Y21 has essential media apps like – Gallery, Music Player, File Manager, FM Radio, Compass, and Proximity. Aside from Play Store, it has also owned iApps (Vivo's apps store) to install different apps. There is a Low Battery Power Mode to save the battery life, and you can set different themes and wallpaper form the iTheme icon.

Camera

So-so camera setup of Vivo Y21 contains two lenses. The primary is a 13MP wide-angle sensor, while secondary is a 2MP macro sensor. As the main aperture is f/2.2, thus it does not perform any good at night mode. Taking images at daylight is however okay. It is eligible of Full HD video recording. On the front, you would find an 8MP selfie camera of f/2.0 aperture. It is quite good in daylight shots, but worsens results at low light.

Internals

Vivo Y21 obtained 241,118 scores in AnTuTu benchmark, thanks to Helio P35 chipset. Only one RAM option and that is 4GB. Two storage variants are available, 64GB and 128GB. A dedicated MicroSD slot lets you expand memory up to 1TB.

The mid-range device offered 5,000 mAh large battery that can support up to 18W for rapid charging. You can charge the battery 50% in 30 minutes while the full charge takes about 80 to 90 minutes, and the phone has 110h excellent endurance rating, and you can watch videos up to 17h, 33h of talk on 3G, and browse web about 20h as well.

Verdict

Vivo Y21 is a good deal as entry level smartphone, but not worthy for Camera and Fast Charge.
