Apple Claims iPhone 6s Shutdown Issue is Related to Hardware not iOS

Last month, we reported that some iPhone 6s users are facing battery problems and their smartphone shuts down even adequate battery remaining.  After several complaints, Apple has issued a replacement process for those iPhone users who were facing phone shutdown problem.

Regarding the issue, Apple has issued a statement on its Chinese website. Some reports claim other iPhone models are also facing the same issue, while the company stated that only iPhone 6s models made in a particular time period with a certain serial numbers are facing the problem.  The company repeated that the problem was related to hardware of the device not to iOS 10.1.1 which was reported previously.

Apple's statement on the subject ,"We found that a small number of iPhone 6s devices made in September and October 2015 contained a battery component that was exposed to controlled ambient air longer than it should have been before being assembled into battery packs. As a result, these batteries degrade faster than a normal battery and cause unexpected shutdowns to occur. It's important to note, this is not a safety issue."

The company further stated that, "We also want our consumers to be acquainted with that an iPhone is actually designed to shut down mechanically under certain circumstances, such as very cold temperature. To an iPhone user, some of those shutdowns might seem unanticipated, but they are intended to defend the device's electronics from low voltage." The issue is common and many iPhone users are affected by this problem. In addition, iPhone 8 is reported to come with 3D camera.
