Sony announces its new smartphone – Xperia L4 with triple rear camera setup and side-mounted fingerprint sensor for the entry-level class. It arrives as a successor of the predecessor Sony Xperia L3 which was launched last year with dual rear camera setup and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. According to the company, the Xperia L4 will be available in select markets this Spring in two colors - Black and Blue. The display of the Xperia L4 is a 6.2-inch 21:9 HD+ LCD, it's taller than the Xperia L3's 18:9 screen and matches the cinematic ratio of the Xperia 1. The taller aspect makes it more convenient to use two apps simultaneously in portrait mode.
The triple camera setup on the rear panel supports a 13MP wide-angle with phase detects autofocus, a 5MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. There's an 8MP selfie shooter on the front side, housed in its own little notch. One thing where the Xperia L4 isn't an upgrade over its predecessor is processing. It has the same MediaTek Helio P22 Chipset with 3GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage. As for the battery, the Xperia L4 packs a 3,580 mAh battery (up from 3,300 on the Xperia L3) that supports fast charging.
