Asus has officially launched its newest gaming smartphones, the Asus ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 5 Pro. The company also announced the Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, which is a limited edition and has 18GB RAM. The ASUS ROG Phone 5 series smartphones are all powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoCs. Asus ROG Phone 5 has Phantom Black and Storm White color options in glossy finish, while the ROG Phone 5 Pro offers a Phantom Black shade, and the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate comes with Storm White in matte finish.

The ASUS ROG Phone 5 series has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, 111 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 800nits brightness, Always-on Display, HDR10+ support, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The ASUS ROG Phone 5 Pro comes with a dot-matrix PMOLED display called ROG Vision that can display customizable graphics for incoming alerts for messages/calls, loading a game, charging, entering X mode, and so on. The ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate offers a monochrome PMOLED display that has the same functions. On the other hand, the ROG Phone 5 has RGB lighting aesthetics on its back panel.
