Samsung Galaxy M42 5G receives certification through Geekbench

Recent reports have revealed that Samsung will soon launch the Galaxy M42 5G as the company’s first 5G-enabled M-series smartphone. A support page of the smartphone was recently spotted on the website of Samsung India with SM-M426B model number. Today, the device appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site with some of its key specs.

On Geekbench 5, the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G scored 650 in the single-core test and 1779 in the multi-core test. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset that has a base frequency of 1.80GHz. The SoC is mentioned with its ‘lito’ codename in the listing. The source code of the Geekbench listing has revealed that the SoC offers maximum clocking speeds of 2.21GHz, and it has Adreno 619 GPU. It is equipped with 4 GB of RAM, and it runs Android 11 OS. There is no more information available about the Galaxy M42 5G on Geekbench site.

Samsung Galaxy M42 5G has already received certification from platforms like the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Bluetooth SIG, and Wi-Fi Alliance. These certifications have revealed that the phone will have connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0. As per the 3C certification, it may house a 6,000mAh battery.
