Samsung announced five new flagship Galaxy smartphones on its 10th anniversary. The Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10E are regular ones while there are two surprises Samsung S10 5G and Galaxy Fold.
Samsung Galaxy Fold: 2x OLED Displays, 3-way multitasking, and 6-Cameras
Samsung’s first Foldable Smartphone, Galaxy Fold is more than a high-end smartphone. Boasting 2x AMOLED Displays, the device offers 4.6inches external screen for folded mode and spreads 7.3inches inside screen for an unfolded mode. Design looks not as ugly as of the Royole Flexpai. There is a hinge cleverly hides between both displays.
The Samsung foldable smartphone supports 3 ways multitasking which lets the user run a single task on the first display for a wide area while at the same time two small apps running on the second area.
When running a specific application in folded mode, a new App Continuity feature expands it automatically and keep still running while you get device unfolded.
Galaxy Fold is Samsung’s first smartphone with Six Cameras. The unfolded mode lets you enjoy all optical sensors at once, but in folded form, the smartphone offers three rear cams, one front selfie, and remaining two inside displays. Whatever display type user select, the device offers optics for photography and selfies.
Powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset and Adreno 640 GPU, the Samsung foldable phone has two batteries giving a combine 4380 mAh juice. The device boosts up 12GB RAM and 512GB Storage of UFS 3.0 which is quick to load boot. Sadly, the microSD slot is unavailable.
It is the most expensive one and a true iPhone competitor. The Galaxy Fold Price starts at $1,980.
Samsung Galaxy S10 5G
Another Samsung high-end smartphone is Galaxy S10 5G which enables 5G network as its name showing off. Though 5G is not yet spread widely, some of the US carriers make it possible. It is WiFi 6 standard phone that allows up to 1.2Gbps speeds for local connectivity.
It has much more than S10+. The Galaxy S10 5G version sports bigger 6.7inches screen, Dynamic AMOLED Display, 1440p resolution, 4k HDR10+ video support, and ultrasonic Fingerprint in the screen.
S10 5G is a hexa camera phone which has 4 Photography Cams and 2 Selfie Shooters. At the back, there is a 12MP f/1.5-f/2.4 wide-angle camera, two 12MP telephoto sensors with 2x optical zoom, and a 16MP ultrawide lens. On the front, a 10MP RGB sensor and 3D ToF (3D Time of Flight) sensor which helps it to create 3D pictures from Video Live Focus.
It comes in two hardware configurations, Snapdragon 855 and Exynos 9820. The Qualcomm version owns Adreno 640 while Mali-G76 by Exynos model. Consumers can save all they need in 256GB Internal Storage and there’s 8GB of RAM for gaming lovers. Samsung ditches microSD card slot.
Samsung 5G smartphone has come up with 25W Super Fast Charging support to recharge its juicy 4500mAh battery. Wireless Charging is available, but there is something new called Wireless PowerShare mode to allow Reverse Wireless Charging.
Samsung Galaxy S10+
Galaxy S10 Plus is the shining star of Samsung S family if consumers are not selecting S10 5G since due to lack of 5G availability worldwide. The Smartphone gets IP68 rating and a larger 6.4inches QHD+ Display coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for protection. Dynamic AMOLED screen, HDR10+ video capability, SD855/Exynos9820 chip processor, 8GB RAM, and other connectivity options except 5G are those of features identical to the earlier S10 5G.
Samsung S10+ arrives in 128GB Storage for a standard version. There is another premium option available with up to 1TB Internal Memory and 12GB RAM. It is armed with a 4100mAh battery that supports Fast, Wireless and Reverse Wireless Charging.
Optics wise, Galaxy S10+ is a perfect choice with triple rear cameras 12MP (f/1.5-f/2.4) regular + 12MP telephoto + 16MP ultrawide. There are two Selfie Cameras 10MP + 8MP on the front. It enables Super Slow, AR Emoji, and other 4k video functionalities with Dual OIS support.
Samsung Galaxy S10+ Price is $1000 and goes up to $1600 for 1TB Memory edition.
Samsung Galaxy S10
The most awaited smartphone yet now, the Galaxy S10 sports a 6.1inches QHD+ display, a single 10MP Selfie Camera and 3400mAh battery. However, all the other specs are identical to the Plus model including Android 9.0 (Pie) software, One UI, three back optical lens, SD855/Exynos9820 hardware, and connectivity.
The Galaxy S10 Prices are $900 and $1,150 respectively for 8GB/128GB and 8GB/512GB variants.
Samsung Galaxy S10 E
The economy version, Galaxy S10e is the most affordable smartphone in S10 lineup. It is available for only $750 with 6GB RAM and 128GB Memory while 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM variant are available for $850.
The Galaxy S10e is getting a flat 5.8inches screen whereas its siblings got edges displays. It has 1080p resolution, a 10MP Selfie lens, Dual Rear Cameras 12MP + 16MP (wide-angle + ultrawide), and 4k video recording support with Dual OIS.
The other internal specs are Exynos 9820/SD855, Mali-G76/Adreno 640, and Octa-core processor of up to 2.8GHz frequency.
Housing a 3100mAh battery, the handset has AKG speakers and Dolby Atmos sound. It also brings support for Fast Charging 2.0 and Wireless Charging.
