Google Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 will launch later this year

The Google Pixel 4a is yet to go, official. While the phone has been bagging essential certifications, its launch date is still kept under wraps. 9to5Google that has been tracking the upcoming Pixel phones has revealed that Google may launch the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 handsets later this year.

According to the source, the Google Pixel 4a 5G codename is Bramble while Pixel 5 has a codename of Redfin. Rumors have it that the Pixel 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 765 SoC and it also supports 5G connectivity. Hence, Pixel 4a 5G may feature a different chipset. It could be featuring a new 5G-ready SoC from Qualcomm. Recently, the U.S. based chipset maker had launched the Snapdragon 690 SoC. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the Pixel 4a 5G will arrive with SD690 or another chipset. The Google Pixel 4a 5G is expected to have a 5.81 inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It will come with a 3,140 mAh battery with fast charging support. Google Pixel 5, on the other hand, may offer a 6.0-inch FHD+ display with 1080 x 2400 pixels. The device is rumored to have a 3,200 mAh battery with fast and wireless charging support.
