Huawei Mate 8 Review Hands On

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has increased its reputation in the US and UK with every launched handset. The company tries to give more at low prices. Huawei Mate 8 offers great specifications that anyone can expect from a flagship phone. Huawei Mate 8 looks gorgeous with sleek design; it comes with stronger battery and great fingerprint scanner.

Design

The device has a full metal body and the design of the phone is attractive. Back side of the phone is smooth which looks dicey, but users can handle and use the device easily. There is a slender bezel around the bottom and the top of the display and the bezel is useful for gripping the phone. Huawei Mate 8 is available in gray, silver, gold and brown color options. Fingerprint scanner lies on the back side of the phone, below rare camera you can see a fingerprint scanner which will unlock your device.

Normally in most of the smartphones fingerprint scanner lies on home button so having a scanner on the back side of the device can annoy many users. It takes some time to use the device if you are a Samsung or iPhone user.

Main Features

One of the best features of the device is that it comes with 6-inch display. All videos look eye-catching on the screen and the colors of videos and pictures are incredible. The fast fingerprint scanner is another key feature of the device; it unlocks the smartphone in seconds. The mobile comes with fast charging cable and it quickly charges the handset.

Specifications

The Huawei Mate 8 comes with HiSilicon Kirin 950 chip and 2.3GHz and 1.8GHz quad-core processors. The device is available in 32GB internal memory with 3GB RAM, and 64GB internal memory with 3GB RAM.  The internal memory can be enhanced up to 128GB with microSD support. The dual SIM mobile runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Camera

Huawei Mate 8 comes with a 16MP rare camera and 13MP front camera, the performance of the camera is remarkable and it gives impressive pictures. For capturing a good picture you don’t have to set camera first, after unboxing, turn on the device and capture a great image. The primary camera comes with beauty, light painting, and, time-lapse option. The beauty mode of the camera automatically blurs the pictures and it works well in front camera as compared to rare camera.

One disappointing feature of the camera is that it easily blurs the picture so the company should improve autofocus technology in the device. The device records Full HD videos instead of 4K videos, which all most all of its competitor’s mobiles are offering.

 Battery Life

Battery life of Huawei Mate 8 is quite strong, you can play music and videos at the same time on the device and battery won’t drain fast. As the mobile features a 6-inch screen and big screen mobiles require a larger battery so Huawei sent 4,000mAh battery with the device.
