Royole FlexPai to be the World’s First Foldable Smartphone Getting Snapdragon 8150 Chip

Royole, the Chinese Electronics Equipment Company in Bejing, announced the world’s first flexible smartphone named as The FlexPai. In this case, the not much famous Royole surpassed Samsung and Huawei which have been working for a long while to launch foldable devices. The FlexPai is also the first to get the most powerful chipset ever before, The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150. It is aided by 7nm Octa-core processor and 6GB/8GB RAM. It runs Water OS standard alternative to the Android 9.0 (Pie).

In the unfolded form the FlexPai behaves like a tablets; however, in the folded mode the FlexPai becomes a smartphone. The foldable device boasts a 7.3 inches screen of unfolded mode and 4 inches screen for folded form. It comes with 4:3 aspects ratio and stunning AMOLED Display which you can fold at the middle hinge such as closing a book. The hinge gets 200,000 times foldable rating meaning that you can fold it many times without facing trouble. It has 7.6mm thickness when unfolded while it becomes 15.2mm thick when folded.

The FlexPai brings Dual 16MP + 20MP Front Camera Setup for selfies and videos calls. In the folded form, you can take photos and record videos via secondary display so there is no rear camera. It has a powerful battery which is supported with Ro-Charge Fast Charging. It can recharge 80% battery life in an hour.

Royole stated that the FlexPai will be available for sale next month (December 2018). The handset comes with three RAM and ROM configurations 6GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB. The starting Price of FlexPai is CNY 9,000 means $1300 for standard model. The 8GB/256GB costs 10,000 which is about $1470. However, the most exclusive 512GB version is not yet priced. The FlexPai design is not elegant and it comes in only Black color.
