HTC Bolt Preview: Sprint's fastest phone ever

HTC Bolt is Sprint Exclusive smartphone, which is crafted to be an excellent multimedia device for the Sprint LTE network. The network carrier Sprint is introducing this handset with high-speed LTE CAT9, a trait facilitated by the X10 Qualcomm modem.

HTC Bolt Design and Display

The HTC Bolt comes with a high-quality all-metal frame like HTC M10 flagship, but in a little bigger and thicker body. The device comes with flagship signature design and it looks another sibling of the HTC 10. The smartphone is IP57 certified it means the device can be absorbed in water for 30 minutes. The HTC Bolt doesn't have 3.5mm jack and you can connect headphones on the USB Type-C port of the device.

The HTC Bolt comes with a 5.5-inch Quad-HD display it is a great multimedia device indeed. As compared to other Android devices in the market the HTC Bolt's display is bright and sharp. The Gorilla Glass 5 protects the device from scratches.

HTC Bolt is powered with Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810, clocked at the Octa-core (4x1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x2.0 GHz Cortex-A57), and coupled with Adreno 430. It has 32 GB of native storage and 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone offers fast performance and functions efficiently.

The latest OS Android 7.0 is pre-installed along with HTC's Sense UI. The HTC Bolt supports a fingerprint embedded on the home button. The fingerprint scanner is quick and responsive. The smartphone is quite bigger and heavy than the HTC 10, it measures 153.6 x 77.3 x 8.1 mm and weights 174 g. It doesn't support Daydream VR and we don't expect that the device will support this feature.

HTC is known for providing high quality sound system in smartphones. The HTC Bolt comes with a 24-bit DAC which can output better and more powerful sound than most handsets. The smartphone supports a large battery packs, it comes with 3200 mAh non-removable battery which provides enough power to wake the device for long hours. Unlikely, the HTC Bolt doesn't support Quick Charge 3.0, it comes with Quick Charge 2.0 feature.

HTC Bolt Camera

The rear camera is 16MP with an f2.0 lens aperture. The main camera features OIS, phase detection autofocus, and dual-LED (dual tone) flash as well.  The result of the camera is pretty good and it compete iPhone 7 and Galaxy S7. The smartphones provides very best shoots you can enjoy bright and sharp pictures. An 8MP front shooting camera lets users capture excellent selfie and record 1080p videos.

HTC Bolt Release Date and Price Date

HTC launched the Sprint Exclusive smartphone on November 11 and Available on contract via Sprint. As for price the HTC Bolt battles with the iPhone 7 or Galaxy S7 price. Under Sprint contract, the HTC Bolt will be available for $25/mo, while for the iPhone 7 you have to pay ($26.39/mo), and for Galaxy S7 ($28.96/month) contract.

HTC Bolt is a fast device on Sprint's network so this feature differentiates the Smartphone from other devices. The all metal body and high resolution and audio system are some of the qualities that help smartphone standout among others. The HTC Bolt is available only in Silver and Black color options.
