The vanilla P30 and its Pro model for the first time were unveiled on March 26, and the pre-orders started just after the official announcement, whereas the actual sales plus shipment scheduled for April 10. You can go to Huawei Consumer online store to buy Huawei P30 or P30 Pro version, doesn’t matter whatever region or country you use to live, as it widely available around the world. If interesting let’s see the Huawei P30 Price in Bahrain.

Let’s dive into details.

Body, Display, and OS

Huawei P30 has a shiny new look, the metal body polished in such a way that it shimmers at different angles in sunlight, the device adopts 2.5D Arc design, 149.1 x 71.4 x 7.6 mm measures of dimensions ( height, width, and thickness). The easier to carry light weighted handset only at165 grams. P30 arrives in striking colors Aurora, Amber Sunrise, Breathing Crystal, Black, and Pearl White - all of them look premium.

Although it is not a strong resistant for submersions, IP53 rated to make the P30 splash proof. Luckily, it didn’t leave a 3.5 mm jack in the bottom hub so enjoy music in your favorite way.

There is a big 19.5:9 flat screen housing a selfie notch in itself, users are able to get hide the notch with a toggle in setting, otherwise let it free and enjoy the wider area for content and browse.

Coming to the OS, you can control color temperature, set manual night mode, and get more beautiful themes, one-hand inbuilt mode, CPU and GPU Turbo technologies to boost software performance as well as smooth gaming fun, thanks to Huawei for installing more advanced EMUI 9.1 on top of Android 9.0 Pie.

Display is OLED, not IPS LCD or TFT, therefore, we have to see sharper and great vivid views, and it occupies 6.1inches front which is brightened up with 1080x2340 pixels resolution, that’s why a P30 owner can watch at 422 ppi density and higher units of brightness for outdoor performance. Netflix and YouTube are good ways to have the benefits of P30’s FHD+ display. The handset is an HDR 10 compliant and accepts DCI-P3 coverage, all these help it to achieve perfect dynamic color range and contrast ratio as per consumer desires.

UD FR: We are pleased to see the modern In-Display Fingerprint Sensing technology which is faster as well as more reliable. FR takes less than one second to unlock the device, and anyone can’t make it fool since your unique finger patterns.

Triple Camera Photography, RYYB Tech, and Super Slow-mo

Huawei P30 has three Leica-branded optical eyes on the rear; the first one is a 40MP wide-angle lens with f/1.6 aperture, the secondary is a 16MP ultrawide having f/2.2 aperture, and the third last is an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS support for stabilized images. The whole camera setup works very well, grabs the best Dxomark scores, captures more field of view in landscapes pictures, and appreciates day as well as night photography, and sharper AI images giving a perfect beauty look. All the credit goes to Super Sensing 40MP f/1.6 lens to win the camera lovers for its low-light shots, also thanks to 8MP telephoto cam for amazing performance while having a 3x closer sight, though lower than the P30 Pro which doubles the zooming in perspective. We can get excellent results by taking a single shot with triple lenses simultaneously, allowed via Trio mode.

Sadly, a few P30 images lack some details from edges, as there is no depth sensor. It feels sometimes aggressive in a blur, not working like those of other high-end devices like Apple and Samsung.

Huawei announced a new RYYB camera system for P30 duo, whereas, the previous phones and even most of the flagship devices have RGGB quadrant system (RYYB is abbreviated as Red-Yellow-and-Yellow-Blue, and RGGB is short of Red-Green-and-Green-Blue.)

Video Recording: Huawei P30 is capable of shooting 4k videos at 30fps, FHD streams at either 30 or 60fps, however, Super Slow mode is amazing for making HD videos at 960fps (frames per second), the same high-class feature was found by you in only Samsung Note, and S series flagships. It is supported with gyro-EIS.

32MP Selfie Cam, Face Unlock, and AI Scene Recognition

Huawei P30 lets a user make best settings in the camera app and creates high-res selfies in the presence of a 32MP front-facing notch, also there’s portrait mode for group selfies, AI Beauty to add some special effects, and HDR support. We have enjoyed images full of details, dynamic color range, different lighting effects, and blur or un-blur mode, low-light vision at f/2.0 aperture, and smooth 1080p video calling. There’s a new set of emoji, and Face Unlock though not more secure than UD fingerprint sensing technology.

Unfortunately, the front camera doesn’t have a partner so it captures only wide-angle pictures, not those like back telephoto and ultra-wide setup.

The famous AI Scene Recognition is also featured to identify the scene, gender, color, and tone, also now it can find out further objects and species including teaspoon, table, and plants, flower, and cat, dog, human.

Performance and Benchmarking Reports

Huawei P30 does a good job as to be a leading device in terms of performance, the Chinese phone maker has used to equip its own Kirin 980 chipset that is coupled with a 7nm octa-core processor which saves much battery consumption against a 10nm or 14nm ones, and it runs faster cycles at 2.6GHz frequency, so that executes programs too quickly, also it processes dual NPUs for AI machine learning tasks and brilliant workflow. It won’t catch extra temperature because of the Advanced Cooling System.

The internal specs are incomplete without the Mali-G76 MP10 graphics providers and 6GB RAM multitasking and gaming supporter for sharing the burden. We can’t describe how it doubles fun for our favorite PUBG mobile game. You can also taste gaming hours but don’t forget to turn on Gaming Turbo mode, and stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos are luckily producing immersive sound, speaker grilles have to open their doors at the bottom to allow sound traveling to the outer world.

Now take the help of some benchmarking reports to measure overall performance.

Geekbench awarded 3296 scores for single-core and 9900 scores for multi-core performance while talking about overall performance, the P30 obtained 305,525 AnTuTu scores could be taken as a big achievement, that shows how powerful it is comparatively than the other flagships.

After long use of talk, play and watch, a 3,650mAh Li-Po non-removable battery gets tired on quick bases, but ready to avail extra time to consume as a blessing with a single recharge,  by 22.5W Fast Charge over the if disturbance counter.

Pros

OLED Display Technology

Kirin 980 performance, CPU and GPU Turbo AI technologies

High-res 40MP RYYB Photography

Perfect 32MP Selfie Solution

Cons

IP53 rated, not IP68 (the latest)

Flat Display, instead Edge-to-Edge one

Only 3650mAh battery, less than 4000mAh

Lack of 5G connectivity, even being a 2019 flagship device

Verdict

Huawei P30 is the best deal for you if you can manage battery power and bear absence of a 5G network, otherwise, you can upgrade to Huawei P30 Pro for longer lasting performance, higher IP6 ratings, bigger display, superior photography and much better features. Both the P30 handsets are not a 5G service provider so that user later would have to migrate to another one, now it depends on consumers if they would be satisfied with 4G VoLTE at least for 2019 since 5G will completely spread over the world by 2020.

Alternative

Samsung’s Galaxy S10 family is the best alternative for Huawei P30 devices, or wait until the release of OnePlus 7 or Huawei Mate 30 series, as we have no doubt on their capabilities.

For those who can’t wait to enjoy 5G faster downloads, they can go for Mate X 5G if Huawei line must not be crossed, otherwise, the recently launched Galaxy S10 5G could be also user’s desire but it costs almost double of Huawei P30.
