Its 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution proved helpful to get bright pictures in indoors but for outdoors especially under the sunlight it is some difficult to see and read the details of display.

Processor and Chipset Performance

Huawei Mate 10 Lite has latest 2nd level series chip, Kirin 659, which is superb for mid rangers. It is aided by an Octa core CPU in which Quad core clocks at 2.36GHz frequency and Quad core runs at 1.7GHz speed. There is Mali-T830 GPU for better graphics but it doesn’t support graphical views perfectly. The gaming and programming speed of device is super fast.

It runs smoothly. You can play heavy apps without any trouble.

Camera Performance (dual Rear and dual Selfie)

Huawei Mate 10 Lite has four amazing camera shooters – dual rear and dual front. Primary snappers have 16MP + 2MP resolution. It can record sharp FHD videos. You can shoot bright images easily.

A back camera feature slightly disappointed us. The portrait mode captures the heavily blurred images in which focused object look like a cardboard cutout and the surroundings are not apparent. Another wide aperture mode makes it some better but the heavy blur issue is still there. Other camera features works very well.

There are dual 13MP + 2MP selfie camera lenses which capture bright and sharp selfies. It gives beautiful bokeh effect. Lets you do some more creativity and share your special moments with your friends.

Software

The Smartphone is powered by old Android OS, 7.0 (Nougat) which is skinned with Emotion UI 5.1 that is a beautiful interface comes with Machine learning algorithm and Huawei ultra memory features. The Machine learning algorithm learns that how you use device, and then, the Huawei ultra memory anticipates app usage and manages RAM performance. In fact, the EMUI 5.1 focused for performance not only for polishing apps. This software is 30% faster than its previous version and has also Discover tab in photo gallery to recognize places.

Battery

The Mate 10 Lite is backed by a 3340mAh battery which is enough for a full day performance with normal usage but it doesn’t run for a long while with heavy usage. Further, it is not supported with fast charging which means the device takes a long time to recharge power.

Price

Huawei Mate 10 Lite is really such a nice device in its price range. The smartphone is available for $280. And it is the first budget smartphone of its type to get dual camera, 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM.

Verdict

Huawei Mate 10 Lite is built with aluminum unibody and having 5.9 inch bigger display based on 18:9 ratio. It is the 1st Huawei smartphone which comes with four cameras. In addition, it has Kirin 659 chipset, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM and a low price tag. On the other hand, its resolution power is weak and the device doesn’t have fast charging support, USB C, FM radio and NFC. If you want to buy a smartphone under $300 then we recommend Huawei Mate 10 Lite which is extremely good in performance.
