Vivo APEX 2020 concept smartphone confirmed to announce on February 28

Today (24-February), Vivo has revealed that the brand’s next-generation Apex series smartphone – Vivo Apex 2020 Concept phone will launch on February 28 at 11:00 AM local time. The company was expected to unveil its APEX 2020 Concept Smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2020 in Barcelona, Spain. However, as the MWC 2020 conference got canceled due to coronavirus outbreak, Vivo was forced to change its launch schedule and has now revealed that the phone will be showcased on February 28 in Beijing, China.

“Vivo’s new generation APEX concept machine was released online on February 28. The future is beyond” Company statement. The company has also released the first teaser poster for the smartphone that shows the faintly curved screen and the number “120”, which could be 120Hz screen or something completely different. Another image shows the back of the phone with a periscope zoom camera for loss-less zoom. Previously leaked renders of the upcoming smartphone suggest that the Vivo APEX 2020 will continue to have a bezel-less design and a super-high screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone will have the in-display fingerprint sensor and would have a curved-edge display design. On the back panel, there’s a circular Oreo-shaped main camera module with a rectangular optical zoom lens. The upcoming device will also arrive with 5G connectivity and fast charging technology support.
