A new report from supply chain blog Macotakara says that the upcoming Apple iPad Air 4 2020 will have USB-C connectivity (this would mark the first time in the iPad lineup). The supply chain sources say that the fourth-generation iPad Air will feature USB-C connectivity, whereas the upcoming iPad mini 8.5-inch will have a lightning connector. Under the hood, the upcoming iPad Air and iPad Mini models will reportedly feature Apple’s A13 chipset.
Furthermore, Macotakara says that the fourth-generation iPad Air, size might be 11-inch same likeiPad Pro. “remember that the iPad Air 3rd generation’s size was 10.5 inch same like iPad Pro 10,5 inch, the camera features might be downgraded as compare to iPad pro.” Reputable Apple analyst Ming-Chi reported last month that Apple will launch a new 10.8-inch iPad during the second half of 2020 followed by a new 9-inch iPad mini during the first half of 2021. According to Kuo, the selling points of these iPads will be “the affordable price tag and the adoption of fast chips,” much like the new iPhone SE. It’s possible that the new iPad Air also adopts Face ID for authentication.
