Nubia has started teasing the arrival of the Red Magic 5S smartphone. It will come as an enhanced version of the Red Magic 5G phone that debuted earlier this year. Now as the company is aggressively teasing the phone’s arrival, it may go official as early as next month. Today (20-July), the Nubia CEO Ni Fei shared a video on Weibo to reveal that the Red Magic 5S will come with 320Hz touch sampling shoulder buttons and 144Hz refresh rate display.
The Snapdragon 865 powered Red Magic 5G gaming phone had arrived with a 300Hz touch sampling rate capacitive shoulder buttons for gaming. For enhanced gaming experience, the shoulder buttons of the Red Magic 5S, which are powered by industry-leading dual IC touch chip solution, will support a 320Hz touch sampling rate. Like the Red Magic 5G, the forthcoming Red Magic 5S’ screen will support up to 144Hz refresh rate along with a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. Recently, the Chinese firm confirmed that the device will have a Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform.
Nubia Red Magic 5S is coming with an upgraded cooling system that makes use of silver along with 4843mm2 head-dissipation copper foil, thermal gel and the centrifugal cooling fan. The company has also confirmed the phone will be arriving with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. We hope it will appear on TENAA soon with all its specs and images.
