Display

Huawei Honor 7X sports a 5.93-inch 18:9 display which the Huawei called FullView display. It has slightly downgrade 77% screen-to-body ratio as compared to the Huawei new flagships. The resolution of the screen is 1080 x 2160 pixels and it provides saturated colors as well as bright, sharp, and apparent scenes. The black and white contras ratio is also good. It means you are getting the prominent screen for watching in a low cost device.

Chipset and CPU performance

Huawei Honor 7X is powered by Kirin 659 chipset which is not high-end but performance wise is fairly good. Under the hood, an Octa core CPU is rooted that is the combination of two quad core processors in which fours cores run at 2.3GHz speed and four cores have 1.7GHz clock rate. Overall CPU performance is quite nice.

The device can handle multi-tasking easily but can’t run much heavy games and apps extremely fast. For the graphical calculation, there is Mali-T830 GPU which is just good for the mid-range devices.

Geekbench report:

1 – Huawei Honor 7X gets 907 scores in single core performance and 3534 scores for its multi core performance.

Dual Camera and Selfie result

Huawei Honor 7X has dual 16MP + 2MP primary camera snappers. To test the camera performance, we compared the Honor 7X with Mi 6’s dual photography cameras and we got approximately the same result. It means this mid ranger handset is approaching to the Xiaomi flagship level camera performance. The Honor 7X can record 1080 pixels videos at 30fps. For the daylight shooting the handset is pretty cool but for the low light performance it is just fine even with LED flash.

The Honor 7X selfie camera is 8MP, the same one as present in Honor 6X which means the selfie results are satisfactory but still there and not upgraded.

RAM and Memory

The RAM and Memory of Huawei Honor 7X depends on region. The Chine version (ALT10) is available with 4GB RAM and 32/64/128 GB Memory. The Honor 7X Europe and India versions (L21 and L22 respectively) are offered with 4GB RAM 32/64GB storage. On the other hand, the US version (L24) of smartphone has 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The 4GB RAM variants are appreciated for gaming then the 3GB RAM phone.

Software

Huawei Honor 7X is running on Android OS v7.0 (not latest) which is skinned with Emotion UI 5.1 that is a beautiful interface comes with Machine learning algorithm and Huawei ultra memory features. The Machine learning algorithm learns that how you use device, and then, the Huawei ultra memory anticipates app usage and manages RAM performance.

In fact, the EMUI 5.1 is developed for performance not for polishing apps. This software is 30% faster than its previous version and has also Discovery tab in photo gallery to recognize places.

Battery

The Huawei Honor 7X houses a 3340mAh battery which is very good for a single day performance. It gives up to 20 hours 3G talk time and up to 647 hours stand by time. It provides satisfactory time for browsing and playing. And we hope you won’t be disappointed by the battery life. There is lack of fast charging option so you will have to wait more to recharge battery.
