Sony Assures to Fix Xperia X Performance Accelerometer Issue Soon

If you are using a Sony Xperia X Performance device and facing issues regarding the smartphone’s accelerometer, here is good news for the users. The Japanese manufacturer has declared that the issue will be fixed via a software update, which will be released soon.

Sony’s support team member said that, "I’ve just received information that a new software update will be available shortly with a solution for this." In anticipation of the new software update is available, if the accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, ambient light, proximity sensor, barometer or screen rotation stops responding, please try to restart the phone as a workaround."


To recall, the Sony X Performance features a 5.0 inch IPS LCD with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The smartphone comes in Single SIM and Dual SIM variants, the former has 32GB native storage with 3GB of RAM, while the second one has 64GB internal storage with 3GB of RAM.


The Xperia X Performance has 23 MP rear cameras with f/2.0, 24mm, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash. It has 13 MP secondary camera with f/2.0, 22mm, 1/3" sensor size, 1080p, and HDR feature as well.  The device offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, and Bluetooth v4.2, A2DP, aptX, LE connectivity options. It supports microUSB v2.0, USB Host, and fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is powered by Li-Ion 2700 mAh battery which wakes it up. The Xperia X Performance comes in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold, and Rose Gold color options.
