Xiaomi India has announced that Android 8.0 Oreo update has been roll out for Xiaomi Mi A1, an Android One smartphone which runs simple, fresh and pure Android operating system. Many Indians also reported that they have received Android Oreo update. So, you can download and install new Oreo update via OTA if you are a Mi A1 user. The Oreo Update brings also December 2017 security patches as well as fast charging support.
The Android 8.0 (Oreo) download is weighing in more than 1GB which means the update is quite large so beware of data plan before downloading Oreo update. Analysts say that Android 8.0 update should have Auto Fill in apps, Night Light mode, the notification dots, and Picture-in-Picture mode etc.
