Lenovo Vibe Shot Review

Introduction

Lenovo participated in MWC 2015and revealed quite a few new devices and one device specially was focused while revealing it and got the attention of manufacturers and users that is Lenovo Vibe Shot which is also known as Lenovo Vibe Shot Max. Basically this is a smartphone but company was specially focused on the camera and makes the device more powerful. The Lenovo Vibe Shot is the first camera centric smartphone by the company which is the finest combination of technology and style. The handset has other good features as well. Here we are going to discuss about Lenovo Vibe Shot in details that what the handset offer to the users.

Design                                

Lenovo always focused on the smartphones specs instead of design but there is no mean that company totally neglects the architectural point because they know to the some extent the handset make and build attract the users. If we look Lenovo Vibe Shot we find a stylish back cover similar to a nice point-and-shoot camera. The handset is a combination of two solid pieces which are made up with the stylish glass yes we are talking about the front and back panel of the handset. The panels are finely fitted in metal frame and the frame of the handset is polished in elegant manner. The front panel of the handset has no key and it seems clean but the back side of the handset shows the artistic line and it look of a point-and-shoot camera, which is a consequence that one may, or may not like. Company not use the cheap material for making the handset body and they select the perfect design and material and combine them in a stylish manner for building the body of Levono Vibe Shot. The handset is easy to manage and has ideal size and weight. The Lenovo Vibe Shot measures 142 x 70 x 7.3 mm and has 145 grams of weight which is not so heavy and easy to carry anytime anywhere.

Display

Lenovo placed 5 inches large IPS display in front of the Vibe Shot. The rational size of screen and the high quality of the display panel make pleasant viewing experience .The screen resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels which provides 441 ppi densities. The display of the handset is protected with Gorilla Glass 3 which keeps the handset screen away from dirt and scratches.

Software and Interface

The Lenovo Vibe Shot is going to ship with Android 5 Lollipop but the user interface that will be first time available in Lenovo devices and does not have conventional user interface and Lenovo is determine to change look of their UI with better changes and would be moving towards Motorola like interface with minimum icons on the screen given a neat look.

Processor and Memory

According to the hardware configuration the Lenovo Vibe Shot is a upper mid-ranger and equipped with Quad-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor paired with Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 and Adreno 405 GPU. The Vibe Shot has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB ROM which can be increased up to 128 GB externally. That configuration makes the handset more efficient and enhances the performance of Lenovo Vibe Shot and gives satisfying result to the users. This combination ensures seamless performance without any delay and shifts from one app to the other without any problem and very swiftly.  

Camera

The main feature of Lenovo Vibe Shot is camera. No doubt basically it is a smartphone but the company has focused more around camera and has made it particularly a photography instrument more than smartphone. Lenovo has used special technology in sensors and optics to give a very lively experience of photography. Although they have Android as operating system but the improvement in camera gives an impression of much better technology. The smart/Pro button moves quickly between phone and camera. It has 16 megapixel rear shooter with tri color LED flash which is the new addition in Lenovo devices.

The Lenovo Vibe Shot has 8 MP camera on the front for taking the good selfies.  The Pro mode gives deep control to the users over the photo-taking capabilities which are an intelligent auto mode, in which the handset tries to set the correct settings based on the users’ requirement and camera direction.

Battery

Battery is the heart of any smartphone and manufacturers specially try to place more powerful battery for the sufficient backup to the users. Lenovo placed Non-removable Li-Po 2900 mAh battery. There is no doubt that the battery seems powerful but the drawback is the power source is non removable and users need to replace whole handset instead of battery if anything goes wrong with the power source. 

Expectations

Lenovo has made a good device in shape of Lenovo Vibe Shot which is a good smartphone and a camera device. Hopefully Lenovo will satisfy the users with the new camera system in their device. Smart/Pro switch provides extended camera versatility and produces real good snap shots. Users would defiantly feel happy while they are out door and which to preserve every memorable moment in still shots and videos. This device would keep their memories of every place and time live in their minds.
