Vivo S5 with diamond shape quad-camera setup and punch-hole display unveiled

The mobile phone manufacturer Vivo has launched Vivo S5 with the unique diamond-shaped quad camera setup. The AMOLED display has a 2.98mm punch-hole at the top right corner for the selfie sensor, and it offers 91.38 screen-to-body ratio. Like predecessor Vivo S1 it has an under-display fingerprint reader for authentication. For smooth performance and better gaming experience, Vivo S5 is equipped with a Multi-Turbo system, which includes Center Turbo, AI Turbo, Cooling Turbo, Net Turbo, Game Turbo, and ART ++ Turbo.

The TUV Rheinland certified 6.44” display supports Full HD+ resolution with 1080 x 2400 pixels, and it offers up to 1200 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, Vivo S5 is powered by Snapdragon 710 Chipset and paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB native storage. The Android 9 Pie OS overlaid with the latest Vivo’s layer FunTouch 9.2 is pre-installed in the phone. The diamond-shaped camera module on the rear panel has a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro sensor that can shot as close as 2cm. For selfie experience and live video recording, the phone offers a 32-megapixel shooter (Same Vivo S1). The phone packs a 4,100 mAh battery that can support up to 22.5W for quick charging.

The pre-orders of Vivo S5 begin today, and the sale will be held on November 22 in China. The company hasn’t shared any info about Vivo S5 international availability in including in Switzerland.
