Vivo S6 5G with Exynos 980 SoC and 48MP quad-camera setup announced

Vivo S6 5G goes official today (31-March) with Samsung’s Exynos 980 Chipset and water-drop notch display design. The selfie-focused phone has debuted as the successor of the Vivo S5 phone from last year. The smartphone features the so-called “Oreo” circular camera module that houses the 48-megapixel primary sensor. The device is backed by a large battery with support for fast charging. According to the company, the first sale of the Vivo S6 5G will start on April 3rd in China.

The Vivo S6 5G features a glass construction that has a thickness of 8.68mm, and it weighs 181 grams. The punch-hole S-AMOLED display of the Vivo S6 5G measures 6.44 inches. It features full HD+ resolution and a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. There is an under-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. Under the hood, it is powered by Exynos 980 Chipset coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 265GB storage. The rear-mounted camera setup of the Vivo S6 5G houses a 48-megapixel primary lens that is coupled with an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device is fitted with a 32-megapixel front camera. The Vivo S6 5G has a 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The smartphone boots Android 10 overlaid with FunTouch OS 10.
