A new leak (via Weibo) from familiar people with Huawei plans opposed the earlier rumor for rectangular camera matrix of Mate 30 Pro. The leak revealed the back of upcoming Mate flagship. Huawei’s phone story is seeking ups and downs. Before it, the Mate 30 Pro suffered US ban which made it difficult to provide the device with Android OS (though later Trump removed the ban and allowed US telecoms to continue selling products to Huawei).
Coming back to the topic, the fresh Mate 30 Pro leak rejects the previous rumors, and offered a new concept of circular back camera orientation for the next high-end Huawei smartphone.
One can go through the leaked image and see easily how Huawei equipped Four Photography Cams and a LED in a ring. They are Leica branded optics, and the center primary one is likely to be a 48MP sensor.
Huawei may use Quad Bayer Filter for Mate 30 Pro, as it did with P30 flagship family. There is no more detail on other specs, but the leak showing a bottom USB port and right-sided Power and Volume keys. In addition, an Emerald Green color variant for Mate Pro version has confirmed.
Rumors are Mate 30 Pro will be capable of 5x optical zoom and probably 10x hybrid zoom. It may record Super Slow HD+ video at a rate of 960fps. Some other enhancements expected too, such as AI Beauty, OIS, EIS, and other 4k video rec capabilities.
Another source leaked the Mate 30 Pro will have an Edge Display with single Selfie Camera. But it didn’t confirm whether it adopts notch style or punch hole design.
Mate 30 Pro will bring power of Combo, Kirin 980 processor and Balong 5000 modem. It will rate NPU double and more intelligent with CPU and GPU technologies.
Release Date
Though pricing is unknown, some reports claim the Huawei Mate 30 Pro will launch in December 2019, in other words by the end of this year.
