Google bringing interesting changes to the “My Apps” section

Google has been a major player in the smartphones world. Bringing about interfaces, apps and other core settings for smartphones that we use everyday and the company is on a constant strive to make the devices more and more accessible and fluid.

Just recently, we have learned that Google will be bringing major changes to the “My Apps” section of the Google Play. According to a report by Android Police, the newest changes to the visual interface will be a part of the new 7.4 update of the platform.

The new update will replace the previous labels Installed, All and Beta to Updates, Installed and Library.

The Updates section will list all the apps which have an available update along with technical details like size of the file and its release date on the Google Play.

The Installed section will be as before, viewing all the apps that are currently installed in the device.

The Library section will display apps that have been downloaded by the user since the time of device registration regardless of whether it is currently installed on the device or not so that the user can keep a detailed record and fish out any app that they might need.

Apart from the new labels, Google Play will add the “sort” option allowing the user to choose whether the apps are sorted according to alphabetic order, app size, last update time and last used.

Additionally, the new interface will also allow the user to launch an app directly from Google Play instead of being redirected to a new window asking for app launch which is currently in play.

All these minor changes to the Play “my App” section will allow refined control over the device memory and apps. Though the release of the update has not been mentioned, Google will keep testing the new features before a definite launch.
