Google Pixel Randomly Freezes and Stops Responding

Several Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL smartphone users are facing issues while using the devices. Users’ complaint that the phones suddenly freeze for a few seconds and they are unable to use the devices. The smartphone’s software stops responding and no key gives any response. 

Some users claim that Google Pixel facing the issue due to a Live360 Family Locator app, and uninstalling the application solves the issue. However, the real reason of the issue is not known yet. It could be a hardware issue which will not be solved with a software update. But, the company hasn’t officially announced any solution to the issue.


The problem is limited to a few users and many people are happy with their Google latest devices. Some users have discussed the issue at the Official Pixel Forum, so we expect that Google will soon solve the problem.


For a quick recap, the Google Pixel packs a 5.0 AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821, and runs Android 7.0 out of the box. The smartphone comes with 13MP/8MP rear and selfie camer combo.


It has a 2770 mAh battery and supports a front accumulate fingerprint sensor. The device is available in Silver, Black, and Blue color options. A previous report suggest that Microsoft is looking for a curved display supplier, which means next smartphone from Google could feature a curved display.
