Honor V40 5G comes with 50MP triple camera setup and 6.72-inch display

After a long wait, the Honor V40 5G is finally official as the company’s first smartphone after its independence from Huawei. The phone is already available in China and comes in color options such as Magic Night Black, Titanium Silver, and Rose Gold. The Honor V40 has a pill-shaped dual punch-hole, a curved waterfall screen, and a rectangular triple rear camera module.

Honor V40 flaunts a 6.72-inch full HD+ OLED waterfall display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1236 x 2679 pixels resolution, 80-degree super large curvature, P3 wide color gamut, and TUV Rheinland global eye protection certification 2.0. The display is integrated with a fingerprint sensor. The phone runs on Android 10 OS with Magic UI 4.0. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ Chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

On the front panel, the phone has a 16MP dual-camera setup for selfies and video chats. It offers triple cameras with a 50MP primary sensor that uses RYYB ultra-light-sensing technology, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor for close up shots. The Honor V40 5G packs a 4,200mAh battery that carries support for 66W superfast wired charging. The smartphone also supports 50W fast wireless charging.
