Honor has finally confirmed that the highly anticipated Honor X10 will be officially announced on May 20 (reveals the official Weibo post) later this month. Although this phone will be the successor to last year’s Honor 9X, the company has decided to name the device as Honor X10, instead of Honor 10X this time round. The poster did not reveal much about the smartphone, except that it comes with 5G connectivity. The handset has spotted in multiple certification websites, where we could grab a bunch of the specs prior to the launch.

Courtesy of its TENAA listing, we’d already learned pretty much about the device ahead of its actual unveiling. From what we’d learned so far, the Honor X10 will feature a 6.63-inches LCD display with FHD+ screen resolution. The device is expected to come with a motorized pop-up selfie camera which will house an 8 megapixels selfie camera. On the back panel, we will be seeing a familiar rectangle camera module similar to what we’d seen on the recently released Honor 30 Pro. This module will be home to a triple-camera setup consisting of a 40 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. Under the helm, the phone will be powered by an octa-core Kirin 820 platform which was also found in the Honor 30S. The device will have up to 8GB RAM and as much as 256GB onboard storage which is further expandable via a Nano memory card. Moreover, it will also be able to support 5G connectivity in both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes.
