Lenovo Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus, and Moto G4 Play now live, Specs and Pricing Detail is here

On Tuesday Lenovo acquired company Motorola has launched 4th Generation Moto G device at its New Delhi event. The device was expected to come in two variants such as Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, so the firm launched both smartphones today in India. The Moto G4 Play also comes alongside the 4th Gen Moto G4, it is basically a successor of last year model Moto G3. However, the box shows the Lenovo product but the Moto logo still can be seen on all three smartphones.

The company hasn’t exposed price and availability information of the Moto G4 device, the information will be provided nearer to the launch while, the Moto G4 Plus 2GB RAM/ 16GB native storage variant is priced at 13,499 and 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant is available for Rs. 14,999. The smartphone will be available for purchase via Amazon from Wednesday. The mobile is available in White and Black color options. Both smartphones Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus have almost similar specifications with a few differences.


The Dual SIM Moto G4 Plus packs a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display with a pixel density of 401ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 (MSM8952) SoC coupled with an Adreno 405 GPU and a choice of either 2GB or 3GB of RAM.


It sports a fingerprint scanner and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It is the first smartphone by Motorola that features biometric authentication placed on the home button. The Moto G4 Plus posses a 16MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture, and laser autofocus. It owns a 5MP selfie snapper with f/2.2. The smartphone is powered by a 3000mAh battery which offers up to 24 hours of usage battery life.


The Moto G4 features same specifications as Moto G4 Plus but the former has 13 MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture without laser autofocus while the latter comes with the 16MP main camera. As there is a difference between cameras of both handsets so there will be difference in the quality of pictures as well. The smartphone is available only in 16GB storage/2GB RAM and it doesn’t support fingerprint scanner. Both devices sport 3G connectivity on one SIM and 4G connectivity on the other SIM.


When it comes to Moto G4 Play smartphone specifications, the device comes with refined design, spray proof and it features a 5 inch display with 720p resolution. The mobile runs Snapdragon 410 chipset; it is powered by 410 chip packs a quad-core 1.4GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 306 GPU. The smartphone has a 2GB of RAM and 16GB expandable storage. There is an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera with several latest features. A 2800 mAh battery keeps the device up and the Dual SIM smartphone offers LTE Cat.4 connectivity.The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it will hit the market anytime in summer while exact availability and pricing details isn’t confirmed yet.
