Nubia is confirmed to announce the new flagship Red Magic 5G smartphone on March 12. The launch event will be held at 7 PM (local time) in China. Recently, the company’s CEO Ni Fei revealed the latest bit of details about the upcoming gaming phone, which include a 300Hz touch sampling rate capacitive shoulder triggers and a game-specific microphone on Weibo. The CEO confirmed that the forthcoming Red Magic 5G is equipped with a dual-IC touch gaming shoulder key, which will challenge the limit, the 300Hz touch sampling rate, and the response is very exciting. The new game-specific mic is placed on the left-hand side of the device, and alongside the top and bottom microphones will be able to pick up sound no matter how you hold the phone, which should be useful for in-game chat.
Today, the company also shared a poster of the smartphone on Weibo to reveal its front and rear design. According to the leaked poster, the Red Magic 5G phone will be arriving in at least two color options. The first one has a red-blue colored rear, whereas the other one is a black model with red accents. As for the design of the phone, it will have a notch-less display, and the side bezels of the phone are quite thin while the upper and lower ones are symmetrical. There will be a triple camera setup on the back panel for photography. The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform will power the Red Magic 5G phone. The screen of the device will support up to 144Hz refresh rate. The handset may come with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It could be equipped with up to 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage. For enhanced gaming, the Red Magic 5G could be coupled with an air-cool liquid cooling technology.
