Redmi K30i has been part of rumors and leaks for some weeks now. The phone is expected to be a more affordable variant of the Redmi K30 5G, as per leaks. Now, the existence of the handset has further been reaffirmed by a string from the MIUI camera app. As noted by XDA Developers’ member kacskrz, the string has not just confirmed the name of the phone to be Redmi K30i but also suggested that the phone will indeed feature a 48MP primary sensor, which was earlier suggested by other leaks as well.

The Redmi K30i can be seen with the codename ‘Picasso’, which was also the codename for the standard Redmi K30. The string suggests that the handset will feature 48MP quad cameras. Notably, the recently leaked render of the Redmi K30i also showed a design quite similar to the standard Redmi K30, albeit with some minor changes. Some of the noteworthy changes were – the dual selfie cameras on the standard variant were shown to be replaced by a single sensor on Redmi K30i. On the software side, we can expect the Redmi K30i to run Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top. The device is speculated to have a Snapdragon 730G Chipset.
