Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is confirmed to announce the Redmi Note 9 series on March 12. Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has teased the launch of the Redmi Note 9 series through its social media accounts and sent a media invite. The new series should include the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro -- the successors to the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, respectively. The company stated that “Brace yourselves for the biggest #Redmi product launch of 2020! #ProCamerasMaxPerformance is going to be nothing like you have ever seen before! A new #RedmiNote is coming on March 12.”

If we look at the teaser image shared by the Redmi India Twitter account, the Redmi Note 9 series will come with the quad rear camera setup. The phones appear to have a square-shaped camera setup -- similar to what we saw on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Nova 5i Pro. Alongside the camera setup, the teaser image suggests a faster refresh rate on the new Redmi Note series phones. You can safely expect a 90Hz display. On the other hand, XDA Senior Member kacskrz discovered the names of a few upcoming Xiaomi/Redmi smartphones in the latest MIUI 11 China Developer ROM. These include the Redmi K30 Pro, which is already and newer handsets such as Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition, Redmi Note 9, and Redmi 10X 4G.
