Are you waiting for the world’s first 64MP camera smartphone? Perhaps, it is the right time for this purpose - as Xiaomi’s subsidiary Redmi has confirmed via Weibo that they are going to unveil the first 64-megapixels camera smartphone on August 29. We also know the handset name, the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Yes, you heard right but beware of the standard Redmi Note 8 is also coming alongside on the same launch day, but unfortunately, it will lack 64MP sensor, instead non-pro model will have 48-MP bites.
The Chinese branding posted an invitation card too via the same source. The invite revealed the Redmi Note 8 Pro will not only have a 64MP lens but a quad-camera setup aligned vertically on the devices back. That means it will deliver mind-blowing performance to photography lovers, and consumers can capture up to 24MP real-time images by means of a pocket phone.
Redmi may probably feel the In-Display FR technology immature, so that the manufacture-installed the physical rear fingerprint sensor, as per the image shows.
Unluckily, the other phone details are still behind the scene. What we expect for Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro is a Qualcomm chipset at least belonging to SD-700 series, and there will be Android Pie OS, a customary LCD FHD+ Display with a notch on top, and possibly a 4,000 mAh battery. RAM and ROM could arrive in three configurations - 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. Memory card slot may tuck in the slot, too. Sorry, we are unable to say any word on price.
It is a China launch and the sales will kick off next month (Sep). India or Europe could be the next destination. Stay connected, we will keep you updated with the latest.
