Vivo Y9s debuts with Super AMOLED display and SDM 665 SoC in China

Vivo has unveiled a new phone in Y-series called “Vivo Y9s” in China. A rebranded version of the Vivo S1 Pro that was recently launched in Southeast Asian markets. The Vivo Y9s offers an in-display fingerprint sensor, quad-camera setup and a large-sized battery with fast charging support.

Vivo Y9s flaunts a 6.38 inches Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Smartphone delivers a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and it has an in-screen fingerprint sensor for authentication. Under the hood, the phone has Snapdragon 665 Chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Vivo Y9s packs a 4,500 mAh battery that can support up to 18W for quick charging. The phone runs Android 9 Pie OS customized with FunTouch 9 layer and there is a Multi Turbo system for optimized the overall phone performance. The water-drop notch on the front panel offers a 32-megapixel sensor for selfie experience. The rear diamond-shaped quad-camera setup has a 48MP Samsung GM1 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP sensor adds depth effects in the images. The macro sensor can shot as close as 2cm and the Vivo Y9s will be available for purchase in China from December 6.
