Samsung Z1 has been launched and that is the 2nd Tizen based smartphone have really made its place in the market leaving windows phone and Firefox much behind. Samsung has introduce this smartphone with Tizen after sucessful experiment of Samsung Z. Z1 is the low budget device and may be tomorrow Samsung brings out some costly handsets based on the reputation build by Z1.
Design, Build and Display
If we think over the design of the handset we found the Samsung Z1 is the simplest but the handset is not the slimmest handset and according to the measure it has 9.7mm thick bezels. The Samsung Z1 is made up with the plastic which has the designed finishing on it and the edges of the handset are rounded which gives the similar look to mobile like other Samsung smartphones.
Under the display the home button placed and 2 capacitive keys visible which are the navigations keys. This is the front side of mobile from the back side it has the removable panel and again followed the Samsung tradition and has camera sensor and LED flash and speakers. There is no doubt that the design of Z1 is simple and according to the price this is the best design considered ever.
Now we move towards the screen the Samsung Z1 has 4 inches PLS LCD display having 480 x 800 pixels which delivers 233 ppi pixel density. The view angles of the handset is good, brightness of screen is ok according to the price but the main good thing in the screen of the handset is Samsung includes out door readability mode inside the mobile for users convenience which allows users to read the mobile in sun light easily.
Operating system and User interface
Previously Samsung was launched their own Touch Wiz user interface which was combined with Android operating system but now the new interface of Tizen operating system is quite different from Touch Wiz but the setting options are same and users have a great experience in new innovative manner. Basically Samsung has a plan to use Tizen for all other smartphones and some other gadgets like camera, wearable’s and televisions but this is the feature planning till than Tizen must find their place in the market.

The Tizen allow the users to download and run ACL open mobile app from Tizen Store and also able to download Android apps but the only thing is missing in Tizen is app drawer which can users miss in Tizen.
Processor and Memory
We already let the users know that Samsung Z1 is the low end device and Samsung has a reason to launch this handset in low price because company takes their 1st step to launch and promote their own designed operating system known as Tizen that’s why according that company placed other hardware as well. The Z1 has 1.2 GHz dual core Spread rum SC7727S with Cortex A7 cores and Mali 400 GPU. This lesser known 28 nm process based SoC paired with 768 MB RAM along with 4 GB on board memory but unfortunately users are able to use only 2GB memory out of the 4GB remaining 2 GB consumed by the handset and help the handset to run Tizen 2.3 operating system smoothly without generating any issue but users have a option to increase the on board memory externally via microSD card which upgraded up to 64GB and users can save their data in handset easily.
Camera
Samsung knows the users preference and try to meet their requirement on their budget. The Samsung Z1 has 3.1 mega pixel rear cameras with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution, LED flash, Geo-tagging and faces detection which is again the fairly well balanced configuration according to the price. The handset has VGA camera as front facing for taking the low end selfies and video calling.
Battery, Price and Availability
The Samsung Z1 stands in the low range handset line and carries the price tag of $100 which is not the cost for such type mobile. The handset is available since January 2015. The Samsung Z1 is powered with 1500mAh removable battery and users are able to remove handset battery easily if anything goes wrong with the battery which provides 8 hours of talk time and 7 hours of video playback.
Conclusion
Samsung Z1 is the basic level handset and have no competitors nether Samsung has a plan to defeat the rivals in initial stage they only has aim to launch and promote their operating system and users gets familiar with Tizen and help Tizen to take the place between giants like Android operating system, Windows and Firefox. The good thing of Tizen is the operating system is light in weight as compare with others.
Samsung Z1 is made for the basic users who only have concern to use basic apps but feel them self stylish and satisfy their pocket with the budget friendly smartphone like Samsung Z1.
