LG Velvet is official, brings 6.8-inch display and SDM 765G Chipset

LG has finally launched its latest phone LG Velvet in South Korea. The phone is priced at 8, 99,800 won (US$ 734 / Rs. 55,780) and will go on sale starting May 15. The company has already been teasing this phone for long. LG Velvet is notable due to its new raindrop camera design. The phone has three rear cameras and a flash arranged vertically like water droplets are falling. LG Velvet comes in four different color options include Aurora White, Aurora Gray, Aurora Green, and Illusion Sunset.

LG Velvet features a 6.8-inch full HD+ POLED display with a 1080×2340 pixel resolution. It runs on Android 10. The phone packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 8GB of RAM. It also offers 128GB storage with an option to expand it up to 1TB using a microSD card. There’s a triple camera with 48 megapixels primary sensor, 8 megapixels ultra-wide sensor, and 5 megapixels depth sensor. The phone also has an ASMR recording mode. The steady-cam mode uses AI to compensate handshaking to offer stable videos. It also has a 16 megapixels selfie camera. The phone has IP68 certification for being water and dustproof. It is also military standard 810G compliant. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone does support 5G and offers an NFC chip as well. The phone packs 4,300mAh battery and supports fast charging. It also supports 10W wireless charging.
