Asus Zenfone Max Shot and Zenfone Max Plus M2 Launched, SiP Processors Era begins now

The world’s first two Asus smartphones with System-In-Package (SiP) processors, Zenfone Max Shot and Zenfone Max Plus M2 have announced together in an event on March 14. The SiP processors are different from SoC (System-on-Chip). It is a successful achievement by Asus Brazil team with co-operation of Qualcomm. The new SiP module with all the components in a single thinner film circuit saves allocation inside a phone that will help to create innovative designs in the near future.

Asus Zenfone Max Shot and Zenfone Max Plus M2 are very similar in terms of design and features except for the camera and some other specs.

Both the smartphones sport a 6.26inches FHD+ screen of IPS LCD with a selfie bar notch on top. They are running stock Android 8.1 (Oreo) which will be updated to Android 9.0 (Pie) soon.

Looking for the camera? The Zenfone Max Shot boasts triple rear snappers for photography, 12MP (wide) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 5MP (depth). On the other side, Zenfone Max Plus M2 lacks an ultrawide lens while retaining 12MP main shooter and a 5MP depth, total two. Both they have the same 8MP front camera for similar selfie results.

The Zenfones are powered by Snapdragon 450 chip, SiP 1 eight-core processor of 1.8GHz clock rate, and Adreno 506 GPU. Inside the two of those Asus devices, a 4,000 mAh battery ensures a day of survival for the smartphone.

Asus Zenfone Max Shot and Max Plus M2 have 3GB RAM and 32GB Storage, but the former Max Shot is also available with 4GB RAM and 64GB memory. The way of microSD card slot can make a possible expansion up to 256GB. Asus Brazilian website is already selling new duo. The Price of Zenfone Max Shot begins at BRL 1,349 (or $350) for 32GB and goes up to BRL 1,699 (or $445) for 64GB. However, the affordable Zenfone Max Plus M2 Price is BRL 1,299 ($340 in other words).
