Huawei Mate 10 release date confirm, comes with Al-Powered Chipset

The world’s largest telecommunication company is looking forward to give a tough competition to their competitors, namely Apple and Samsung. Huawei is set to introduce artificial intelligence chip in its flagship Mate 10.

However, with much publicity and solid anticipation, the Mate 10 is set to be released on 16th October, one month after the much awaited release of Apple’s iPhone.

The Mate 10 is set to come up with its own Kirin 970 chipset, which facilitates the AI functionalities. This would be first time a Neural Processing Unit has been used in a Smartphone. Instead of relying on the cloud, the chipset would have its sensing abilities within the device

Richard Yu, the chief of consumer products gave the following statement in Berlin:

‘Compared with Samsung and Apple, we have advantages. Users are in for much faster performance, longer battery life and more compact design’

According to Huawei, the AI chipset, Kirin 970 in Mate 10 would also boost the battery life by 50%

This isn’t the first time that Mr. Yu has made a claim about a Huawei’s device outperforming an iPhone. In July, he made a claim that Mate 10 would take better pictures, charge much faster and have a larger battery than iPhone8

Much like Huawei’s research on artificial intelligence, Apple itself is heavily researching on the probability of finessing a Smartphone product, laden with AI functionalities. A report from Wall Street Journal suggests that Apple is trying to explore the new possibilities of AI, in hopes of luring new tech talent. Apple has also launched a public blog in July to publicize its work of AI and has allowed its researchers on speak on several conferential platforms.

Let’s wait till October 16 to check whether Huawei lives up to its hype or not!
