Update: The CEO of Oppo India confirmed the name of new series smartphone, the Oppo Realme U1. It is also told that the Realme U1 will be launched as Amazon exclusive on November 28 in India. The Indonessia, Malaysia and other markets will get this handset later.

A new report from the Oppo’s Realme official Twitter page revealed that Oppo is bringing the Realme U. Oppo launched recently Realm 2, Realme 2 Pro and Realme C1, but now the brand is going to unveil a completely new Realme U-series and the smartphone will probably be named as Realme U or Realme U1.
The Twitter post also told that the Oppo Realme U will be the world’s first smartphone to boast Mediatek Helio P70 chipset. The newer SoC is claimed to provide 13% more faster performance than previous Mediatek P60. It is said the Helio P70 will tackle AI related tasks brilliantly. There is no more news on release date and more specifications.
Expected Release Date, Price and Features
The Oppo Realme 2 was debut in August and the Realme C1 released in October 2018. Oppo is launching Realme smartphones at a distance of one or two month, and according to this pattern Oppo Realme U will be launched in December 2018 or earlier Jan 2019.
Oppo’s third Realme sub-brand carries budget phones with good specs like the Xiaomi Pocophone-series. Therefore, Oppo Realme U Price is likely to be around $150.
Coming to the specs and features, Oppo Realme U is expected to have a beautiful design similar to the Realme 2 Pro, a large 6.0 inches display, a water-drop like notch on top, FHD+ resolution, Android 9.0 (Pie), fresh Color OS, AI-powered Dual Rear Cameras, a Selfie lens, Heli P70, Mali GPU, Octa-core processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32/64/128GBs ROM Storage, microSD card and a Fingerprint Sensor. It will support 3G, 4G LTE net bands, dual SIM networks, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C and perhaps a 3.5mm jack in hopes.
