Sony Xperia 5 unveiled a compact variant of Xperia 1

Today Sony introduced a new Smartphone known as Xperia 5 at IFA 2019. No doubt, Xperia 5 is a compact variant of Xperia 1. It arrives with a 6.1” OLED panel with a CinemaWide screen, definitely coming as the small sibling of the Xperia 1 flagship. Sadly Xperia 5 has nothing to do with 5G. It comes with Snapdragon 855 and Coupled with the regular X24 LTE modem.

The new Phone is imitated trio of cameras from the Xperia 1 (12 MP regular + 12 MP ultra-wide-angle + 12 MP telephoto), although now the setup is placed in the upper left corner. Sony cut down the resolution in like manner with the screen becoming smaller. Xperia 5 has FHD+ resolution, which adjusts to 2519 x 1080 pixels, and Sony says that the smaller form factor is “for a viewing experience true to creators intent.” On the bottom, there is also Dolby Atmos build up stereo sound with one speaker, and the earpiece acts as a second one for a stereo experience. Sony Xperia 5 also has creator mode just similar to Xperia 1.

On the other hand, with a new feature called “Smart connectivity,” the Xperia 5 is one step advanced to Xperia 1. In “Smart connectivity,” it reads Phone’s performance with LTE and Wi-Fi signal, and when it observes any compromise in the wireless connectivity then automatically switches to LTE. Xperia 5 only comes with a 3,140 mAh battery capacity with 18W fast charging support. Initially, Xperia 5 packed with Sony WF-1000XM3 noise-canceling headphones, pre-orders will start in next week, and shipment schedules begin in October.
