Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S unveiled with a 6.67-inch display and 48MP quad-camera setup

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 series earlier this month in India. The lineup consists of a Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max variant. Now, the Chinese smartphone maker has unveiled a new variant called the Redmi Note 9S for international markets. The handset is a rebranded version of the Note 9 Pro and comes with the same specifications and features. It will go on sale on March 27 in Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia.

The Redmi Note 9S sports a 6.67-inch display with FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole cutout. The Redmi Note 9S camera setup has a 48MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. The punch-hole on the front houses a 16MP selfie snapper. The device offers camera-related features like night mode, portrait mode, and more. The Redmi Note 9S is powered by a Snapdragon 720G processor. It is paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The phone has a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 512GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S draws power from a 5,020mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Connectivity options on the device include a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IR Blaster.
