New Redmi 5G smartphone with Dimensity 800 Chipset spotted on TENAA

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Redmi, is working on a smartphone that just made its way to TENAA. According to the listing, this handset comes with the model number of “Redmi M2004J7AC.” The device has a dimension of 164.15 x 75.75 x 8.99 mm and weighs 206 g. Furthermore, the listing shows that this smartphone will use a central cutout 6.57-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels). The display also has an on-screen fingerprint sensor for authentication.

The rated capacity of its battery is 4,420mAh. The 3C listing of the smartphone had revealed that it is a 5G-ready. The TENAA listing also confirms it once again. The 3C listing had revealed that the handset could be arriving with a 22.5W fast charger. The phone is said to power by a 2.6GHz octa-core Dimensity 800 processor. It is expected to come in variants such as 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The Android 10 OS will come preloaded on the phone. There is a microSD card slot onboard for more storage. The main lens of the rear-mounted triple camera setup is a 48-megapixel. For capturing selfies, it has a front camera of 16-megapixel. According to the leaked images, the right side of the phone has a volume rocker and a red-colored power key. There is a square-shaped camera module at the back. It houses three cameras and an LED flash. On the other hand, Lu Weibing, General Manager of Redmi brand and President of Xiaomi China has also teased a new Redmi smartphone which is said to offer “super-performance”. However, he has not revealed anything related to the new smartphone, not even its name.
