Poco M2 Pro bags Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG Certifications

The POCO M2 Pro name was recently appeared on the Xiaomi India website, suggesting the handset is in the works and it was later spotted on Xiaomi’s RF exposure page. Now, the POCO M2 Pro with model number M2003J6CI has bagged Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG certifications. The Wi-Fi listing reveals that it’ll have dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity and will run Android 10. The Bluetooth SIG certification confirms the POCO M2 Pro will support Bluetooth 5.0. The ‘I’ at the end of the model number suggests it could be the India-specific variant.

Rumors have it that the Poco M2 Pro could be powered by the Snapdragon 720G. The Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max are both powered by Snapdragon 720G. There is a possibility that the Poco M2 Pro may sport a design that similar to the Note 9 Pro and Pro Max phones. Separately, the vanilla POCO F2 is also said to be in the development with model number M2004J11G. It was recently certified in Malaysia and by ‘TUV Rheinland’. The listings showed the phone will ship with 30W fast-wired charging, NFC support, and likely 5G connectivity as well. The POCO F2 will succeed the very popular POCO F1 that was launched in late 2018.
