Xiaomi is dropping the Mi branding officially. Thus, the name of next flagship will surely be without ‘Mi’ moniker, Xiaomi 12 seemingly. Rumors are pouring out faster, so we've decided to gather all at one place. This may give you a good idea about forthcoming Xiaomi 12.

Release Date

Last year, the Mi 11 had debuted in December. Following the footsteps, Xiaomi 12 may launch by the end of 2021 in China. However, the global presence of Xiaomi 12 will begin from early 2022. At the moment of announcement, the Mi 11 had priced at EUR 749. The Xiaomi 12 is likely to have a similar price tag.

Specs and Features

As per leaks, the front of Xiaomi 12 will have a punch-hole selfie camera or it may look identical to Mi 11. The scenario on the back would not remain same, according to a leak by Digital Chat Station; the back will have a bump on top and the bump contains three lenses and LED flash. The leakster also revealed the trio camera will be of 50-Megapixels. In other words, a 50MP main will unite with 50MP ultrawide and 50MP telephoto. Xiaomi is allegedly working on a 5x periscope camera for high quality zoom. A Samsung 200MP sensor is said to keep reserve for Xiaomi 12 Ultra model.

We are not sure about screen size, but rumors claim a LTPO AMOLED technology with up to 120Hz refresh rate. The display would be adaptive, switching between 60Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz. Once again, a Xiaomi flagship will permit QHD+ watching stuff.

There is a clash among rumors on chipset. Some suggest Xiaomi 12 to have Snapdragon 895. Meanwhile, some of them point toward Snapdragon 898. Either option is possible. The Chinese brand may reserve succeeding SD898 for Ultra version, and may supply Xiaomi 12 with SD895.

Glad to hear about new Hyper Charge technology. Xiaomi has already introduced HyperCharge to boost charging process and save precious time. Xiaomi 12 is allegedly getting 200W Wired Charge and 120W Wireless Charge. If this will come true, consumers will show more interest in purchase. A 4000 mAh battery is likely to get charge fully in 8 minutes via wired charge and 15 minutes via wireless.

What we expect?

We hope to see a new MIUI 13 interface on top of Android 11 or even possible Android 12. Xiaomi is also anticipated to overcome heating issues. More photography and video recording effects are also on the wish list such as Movie Effects, automatic deep-editing than just filters, sky editing, and other changes like skyline and weather etc. Once again, we would like to see In-Display Fingerprint technology, but even faster and reliable this time.
