Motorola launches Moto G100 and Moto G50 smartphones

Motorola today expanded its smartphone lineup with the launch of two new phones – Moto G100 and Moto G50 in the G series. The Moto G100 is a rebranded version of the Moto Edge S that had debuted in China in January this year. On the other hand, the Moto G50 is a brand-new affordable device.

Moto G100

Motorola Moto G100 has a 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen bearing an FHD+ resolution and two punch-hole cutouts. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10 support. Design-wise, the Moto G100 features a square-shaped camera module and a Moto logo on the back. The phone houses a Snapdragon 870 processor with an integrated X55 modem under the hood. It packs 8GB RAM and offers up to 256GB onboard storage. It runs Android 11 OS out of the box. The quad rear camera setup offers a 64MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 16MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth unit, and a ToF sensor. The punch-hole cutout on the front houses a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. The smartphone draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging.

Moto G50

Motorola Moto G50 flaunts a 6.5-inch 720 x 1600 display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has 5G connectivity and Snapdragon 480 chipset. There's also a physical Google Assistant button. There are three rear cameras - the main is 48MP, and it's joined by a 2MP macro and 2MP depth-sensing camera. Motorola Moto G50 packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
