Apple may launch iPhones twice a year, four 5G iPhones expected for 2020

J.P. Morgan, an analyst at Apple iPhones, says in an interview with CNBC today (December 3) that Apple may change its launch strategy for 2021. It is predicted citing Morgan that Apple would introduce iPhones twice a year, which lets the American mobile brand compete with the other top mobile brands just like Samsung and Huawei, which launch flagship smartphones twice or throughout the year. After six months, consumers would meet a new iPhone lineup, and this might be happening from 2021.

It is quoted “the shift in strategy would allow Apple to smooth its traditional seasonality and give the company increased flexibility to change its products within a six-month time frame and compete with other device makers that launch new phones throughout the year.”

“Based on our supply chain checks, we are expecting a strategic change in the launch cadence with the release of two new iPhone models in 1H21 followed by another two in 2H21, which will serve to smooth seasonality around the launch,” Morgan further added.

According to the same report, Apple is predicted to release four 5G iPhones next year, 2020. Two of the upcoming iPhones 2020 will have mmWave technology, Triple Rear Cameras, and new World Facing 3D sensing. The other two iPhones will Dual Photography Shooters and sub-6GHz connectivity support but no 3D sensing technology.

The display sizes of the upcoming iPhones 2020 are as such, 5.4-inch one for the compact version, two with a 6.1-inch screen, and the last fourth will get a 6.7-inch large display.

T-Mobile has launched 5G coverage throughout the USA, so it is not hard to believe for Apple to launch four 5G iPhones for 2020 to appreciate consumers for buying.
