Samsung Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Note 8 start receiving April 2020 security update

South Korean smartphone maker Samsung starts rolling out the Android Security patch for the month of April 2020 to its flagship phones. It seems the COVID-19 outbreak doesn’t have much effect on Samsung’s working. Samsung Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Note 8 get the April 2020 security patch. The update comes with the firmware version G98x0ZHU1ATCT on the Galaxy S20 series (Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra), and on the Galaxy Note 8, the update arrives with firmware version N950FXXSADTC4.

Talking about the Galaxy S20 lineup update, it is packed with April 2020 security patch along with improvements in autofocus performance of the Galaxy S20 Ultra camera, and it also included some general camera improvements for the other two Galaxy S20 models. It is currently rolling out in Hong Kong and Taiwan, while other countries will receive this new update soon.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 April security update is rolling out in Germany right now. The update will be rolling out in other regions soon. If the update is available in your country and you did not get it yet, then check it by going through the Settings » Software update > Download and install.
