Meizu has today officially announced two new flagship smartphones – Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro in China. The vanilla Meizu 18 comes in White, Blue, and Purple colors, while the pro variant has White, Blue, and Grey color options. Both smartphones come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processors, 5G support, AMOLED displays, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and more.

The newly launched Meizu 18 houses a 6.2-inch curved S-AMOLED E4 display with 1300nits peak brightness. This AMOLED display offers a QHD+ resolution (1440 x 3200 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, and 563ppi pixel density. The phone also comes with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor for security. The Meizu 18 Pro, on the other hand, has a slightly larger 6.7-inch Super AMOLED E4 punch-hole screen with quad-curved edges. It comes with the same QHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 526ppi pixel density, and HDR10+ support. There is also an under-display fingerprint sensor, and the phone weighs 189 grams.

For selfie experience, the Meizu 18 has a front camera of 20MP, whereas the Meizu 18 Pro features a 44MP Samsung GH1 selfie camera. The Meizu 18 and 18 Pro run on Flyme 9 based on Android 11 OS. The Meizu 18 Pro also comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water-resistance. On the back panel, the vanilla Meizu 18 offers a triple camera setup which includes a 64MP Sony IMX682 primary camera, a 16MP ultra-wide shooter, and an 8MP telephoto lens. However, the Pro variant houses a quad rear camera setup with a 50MP Samsung GN1 primary sensor, a 32MP ultra-wide shooter, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 3D ToF sensor. Furthermore, both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoCs paired with up to 12GB of LPDRR5 RAM. The standard Meizu 18 has a 4,000 mAh battery, whereas the Meizu 18 Pro arrives with a 4,500 mAh battery.
