After weeks of leaks, the OnePlus today finally unveiled its new OnePlus 9 series with impressive features. The new 2021 Series includes three devices – OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R. Both OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro have Snapdragon 888 SoCs, while the OnePlus 9R comes with an SDM 870 processor. At the same event, the company also unveiled its first smartwatch, called the OnePlus Watch.
OnePlus 9 Pro
The OnePlus 9 Pro flaunts a curved 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, QHD+ resolution, HDR10+ with 1,300 nits of peak brightness, and more. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset with UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. The handset has a quad-camera setup on the back, with a custom 1/1.43-inch 48MP f/1.8 Sony IMX789 primary sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX766 ultra-wide lens, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3.3x optical zoom, and a 2MP monochrome camera. On the front is a 16MP selfie lens. The OnePlus 9 Pro houses a 4,500mAh battery and supports 65W Warp Charge and 50W wireless charging. Other features include dual stereo speakers, an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 water and dust resistance, and Android 11 OS.

The vanilla OnePlus 9 offers a flat 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, HDR10+ certification, 1,100 nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass protection. It arrives with the same Snapdragon 888 with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. As for the cameras, it has a 48MP f/1.8 Sony IMX 689 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP monochrome filter camera. There is also a 16M front-facing camera for selfies. OnePlus 9 also has a 4,500mAh battery inside with support for 65W fast charging.

The affordable OnePlus 9R runs on Android 11 with OxygenOS 11. It comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It comes with a quad rear camera setup that has a 48MP primary sensor. It also features a 4,500mAh battery with Warp Charge 65 fast charging.
